Wed 27 Dec 2006 22:10. Picasso washers front & back - mustard. Hi. Both the front and back screenwash squirters have stopped working at the same time on our X-reg Citroen Picasso. I think the pumps/motors might not be working because I can't hear any noise at all when pulling/twisting the controls, whereas usually you hear the little hum or whine.

Connecting one wire to ground will operate the pump in one direction and connecting the other wire to ground will make it run in the other direction. If doing that makes the pump work correctly then the fault is the switch. If it does not work correctly then the fault will be with the BCM.

5. Blocked hose. In rare cases, a dirty or pinched hose can be responsible for windscreen washer system malfunction on Citroen C1. As said previously, I can also can not see Citroen addressing this problem so I now do the following, and find the problem less annoying. 1, Clean the windscreen with a cleaner, I use MER Windscreen Cleaner. works like the old windowlene. 2, Polish the windscreen with a polish, I used Auotglym Car Glass
If the washer and wipers share the same fuse, then the fuse is not my problem since all wipers work ok. I was hoping to find a fuse or relay that was dedicated to the washer pump as this is the only component (front and rear) not working. Suspicions must next fall on the washer pump itself, access to which is not immediately obvious.
I'm afraid I'll have repeat this procedure in the future. The windscreen drain has 2 fairly large holes on either side which allows small leaves and pine needles to drain down into the channels with the water. Not the best design.
