Hi guys, Out driving today and alarm goes off and 'Engine Malfunction!' appears on the driver info screen. No other warnings lights. Car drove but reduced power (guessing limp mode?). Stopped, switched off and back on and car went back to normal for two minutes before the warning came up again. S

It sounds like when the pressure increases in fuel flow, the filter is delaying the output. I'd the filter is dirty and old, it could even stall the fuel flow enough to stall the car. Of course fuel floe drops the car stalls.
