So I have a ps3 slim and have been thinking to get rdr. But I just learned xbox 360 runs all the games better than ps3 :(, and RDR i heard is a lot better. Now I also learned that RDR1 online still works, and I don't plan on paying for xbox 360 online for rdr online. It's a well known fact the PS3 slim has a better wifi chip in it. My PS3 phat wireless speed is pathetic as well compared to the PS3 slim I had. Same with my friend, his 40GB phat is slow too on a VM 30meg connection. My phat's the same, sometime's it'll give me a speed of 1.5mbps on my 2MB Sky connection and sometimes it'll just say Test failed.
Therefore, three years after releasing the PS3 slim, Sony released an even smaller variant called the Super Slim. While it is quite a bit smaller than both the original PS3 and the PS3 Slim, which are both fairly chunky, the Super Slim ends up looking like a flat, black pillow and has some weird coloration going on that makes it look ridged
Super Slim may possibly be better for longetivity. Less to repair. But boy is it the loudest console I ever owned. Well, my Pro may be. I'd have to compare. But that disk drive and fan noise. Man. Prefer slim in general. I'll just find me a Super Slim if my Slim dies.
The PS3 Slim naturally wins single-handedly in the height dimension making it the victor over the original Xbox, but raising concerns about its comparative length. The GameCube easily halves the PS3 Slim in both length and width. Nintendo has been using secret slimness tech for a while, apparently.
It is a key indicator of image quality, with higher resolutions providing sharper and more detailed images. Hard drive is replaceable. Sony PlayStation 3 Slim 120GB. Sony PlayStation 4. The internal hard drive can be replaced by the user, for example if you wish to upgrade to a larger storage capacity.
Not a used one. A brand new super slim is going to be better for you (more reliable long term) than say a used Slim from 5-6 years ago. I just recently bought a 500GB SS from Walmart for $150, it's certainly a little loud when reading discs, and lacks the back main power switch of the other models, but other than that it's really nice.
The first Slim model was the 120 GB version. It launched in 2009 and was shortly followed by the 250 GB model. The new model’s case was 32% smaller than the previous PS3 and 36% lighter.
The model numbers on the slim are on the back om a white sticker and the bottom on a black sticker. Anything 210x (can be 2101 2102. Just depends on region usa is 01) or above for slim which is 250x and 300x are much less likely to get ylod than the 200x as those share a lot of parts from the older fats that made them fail.
